In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
We said: "O Adam! dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden; and eat of the bountiful things therein as (where and when) ye will; but approach not this tree, or ye run into harm and transgression." (Surah Al-Baqara, 35)
It is He Who produceth gardens, with trellises and without, and dates, and tilth with produce of all kinds, and olives and pomegranates, similar (in kind) and different (in variety): eat of their fruit in their season, but render the dues that are proper on the day that the harvest is gathered.But waste not by excess: for Allah loveth not the wasters. (Surah Al-Anam, 141)
"O Adam! dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden, and enjoy (its good things) as ye wish: but approach not this tree, or ye run into harm and transgression." (Surah Al-Araf, 19)
Then began Satan to whisper suggestions to them, bringing openly before their minds all their shame that was hidden from them (before): he said: "Your Lord only forbade you this tree, lest ye should become angels or such beings as live for ever." (Surah Al-Araf, 20)
So by deceit he brought about their fall: when they tasted of the tree, their shame became manifest to them, and they began to sew together the leaves of the garden over their bodies.fAnd their Lord called unto them: "Did I not forbid you that tree, and tell you that Satan was an avowed enemy unto you?" (Surah Al-Araf, 22)
And in the earth are tracts (diverse though) neighbouring, and gardens of vines and fields sown with corn, and palm trees - growing out of single roots or otherwise: watered with the same water, yet some of them We make more excellent than others to eat.Behold, verily in these things there are signs for those who understand! (Surah Ar-Rad, 4)
Seest thou not how Allah sets forth a parable? - A goodly word like a goodly tree, whose root is firmly fixed, and its branches (reach) to the heavens,- of its Lord.So Allah sets forth parables for men, in order that they may receive admonition. (Surah İbrahim, 24)
And the parable of an evil Word is that of an evil tree: It is torn up by the root from the surface of the earth: it has no stability. (Surah İbrahim, 26)
And thy Lord taught the Bee to build its cells in hills, on trees, and in (men's) habitations; (Surah An-Nahl, 68)
Behold! We told thee that thy Lord doth encompass mankind round about: We granted the vision which We showed thee, but as a trial for men,- as also the Cursed Tree (mentioned) in the Qur'an: We put terror (and warning) into them, but it only increases their inordinate transgression! (Surah Al-Isra, 60)
But Satan whispered evil to him: he said, "O Adam! shall I lead thee to the Tree of Eternity and to a kingdom that never decays?" (Surah Ta Ha, 120)
Seest thou not that to Allah bow down in worship all things that are in the heavens and on earth,- the sun, the moon, the stars; the hills, the trees, the animals; and a great number among mankind? But a great number are (also) such as are fit for Punishment: and such as Allah shall disgrace,- None can raise to honour: for Allah carries out all that He wills. (Surah Al-Hajj, 18)
With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- (Surah Al-Muminun, 19)
Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. (Surah Al-Muminun, 20)
Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth.The Parable of His Light is as if there were a Niche and within it a Lamp: the Lamp enclosed in Glass: the glass as it were a brilliant star: Lit from a blessed Tree, an Olive, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil is well-nigh luminous, though fire scarce touched it: Light upon Light! Allah doth guide whom He will to His Light: Allah doth set forth Parables for men: and Allah doth know all things. (Surah An-Nur, 35)
Or, Who has created the heavens and the earth, and Who sends you down rain from the sky? Yea, with it We cause to grow well-planted orchards full of beauty of delight: it is not in your power to cause the growth of the trees in them. (Can there be another) god besides Allah. Nay, they are a people who swerve from justice. (Surah An-Naml, 60)
And if all the trees on earth were pens and the ocean (were ink), with seven oceans behind it to add to its (supply), yet would not the words of Allah be exhausted (in the writing): for Allah is Exalted in Power, full of Wisdom. (Surah Luqman, 27)
But they turned away (from Allah., and We sent against them the Flood (released) from the dams, and We converted their two garden (rows) into "gardens" producing bitter fruit, and tamarisks, and some few (stunted) Lote-trees. (Surah Saba, 16)
Say, "He will give them life Who created them for the first time! for He is Well-versed in every kind of creation!- (Surah Ya Sin, 79)
"The same Who produces for you fire out of the green tree, when behold! ye kindle therewith (your own fires)! (Surah Ya Sin, 80)
Is that the better entertainment or the Tree of Zaqqum? (Surah As-Saffat, 62)
